UTEP's Anthony Rotich and Florence Uwakwe swept the Male and Female Track Athlete of the Week awards after dominant performances both within conference and on a national level at the New Mexico Collegiate Open. Rounding out the men's awards was Charlotte's Trey McRae, who secured the Male Field Athlete of the Week award after he notched the seventh-best high jump in the country. On the women's side, Whitney Flannel of UTSA secured Female Field Athlete of the Week honors after breaking a 20-year-old UTSA high jump record.
