In the first week of conference awards, East Carolina junior high jumper Avion Jones was named American Athletic Conference Indoor Male Field Athlete of the Week. Jones collected the accolades after a stellar performance for the Pirates at the Christopher Newport Holiday Open on Saturday, December 6.
