The Rice Owls men’s cross country team placed third overall at Saturday’s Conference USA Championships, hosted by Southern Miss at the Choctaw Trails, the team’s highest finish since the 2013 season.

Competing against some of the nation's best, the Rice Owls men's cross country team placed 36th overall (126 points) in the Men's Red 8k race Saturday morning at the Pre Nationals meet, hosted by Louisville.
