After a competitive Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, 127 student-athletes have qualified for the upcoming NCAA East and West Preliminary meets May 29-31.

UAB graduate student Elinor Kirk was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 4, CoSIDA announced on Thursday.

North Texas qualified 12 athletes for the NCAA West Preliminary Track and Field Meet, May 29-31 at the John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Rice sophomore thrower Evan Karakolis was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 selection, the organization announced on Thursday.

Irving, Texas - Juniors Elphas Mayio and Anthony Rotich were named to the Conference USA Track and Field All-Academic team as announced by the league office. The team featured 13 men and 11 women.

Colt Johnson of the University of Tulsa men's track and field team and Brandi Krieg of the women's team, were named to the Conference USA Men's and Women's Track and Field All-Academic Team, respectively, announced by the league on Wednesday.
