UTEP swept the Conference USA Male and Female Athlete of the Week awards as junior Anthony Rotich and freshman Joan Jepkirui each placed first in the Kachina Classic.

The North Texas cross-country program is holding strong this season, as regional rankings have placed the men's team seventh and the women's team ninth in the South Central Region.

Sophomore Sarah Livett of the UAB cross country team was named the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced on Monday. The Student-Athlete of the Week recognizes student-athletes who excel on and off their respective fields of competition.

Sophomore Clara Langley finished third in the 5K with a time of 17:05.04 to lead The University of Tulsa women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Saturday.

The UTEP men's team was led once again by Anthony Rotich and Joan Jepkirui paced the women's team.

The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Mountain Dew Invitational hosted by the University of Florida on Saturday.
